BUYER PERSPECTIVE

Compare the specification—not the headline product name.

PURCHASING LANGUAGE

Common buyer terms need precise definitions.

Low EC, buffered, washed, 5 kg block, expansion, AFP, WHC, grow bag, open top, slab, private label and FCL are useful starting terms—but every one needs a method, dimension, tolerance or commercial condition beside it.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Clear answers before an RFQ.

What is the difference between coir pith and coco chips?

Pith is the fine fraction and normally provides more water retention; chips are coarser and normally increase drainage and air space.

Why must expansion include a test method?

Hydration time, water quantity, starting moisture and drainage affect the reported usable volume.

What should be approved before production?

Approve the written specification, physical sample, drawing, artwork, packing and acceptance method together.
