## Commercial interpretation

- Coco peat and coir pith generally refer to the fine fraction of processed coconut husk; coco coir is the broader commercial category.
- "Washed" and "buffered" are not interchangeable. Washing reduces soluble salts; buffering is a separate treatment. Buyers should state the required treatment.
- EC and pH figures must be interpreted with the stated extraction method, units and acceptance range.
- Air-filled porosity (AFP), water-holding capacity (WHC), particle-size distribution and rewetting behaviour should be aligned with crop, container geometry, climate and irrigation frequency.
- Product dimensions, compression, sleeve configuration, planting or dripper holes, packing, pallet plan, quantity, destination port and Incoterm should be confirmed before production.
